I did these for my four mains before, and now it's time to do them for Lucy! First, a fourteen question quiz written in-character:

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for? I’m not sure I’ve really got it in me to kill. At least, not without a damn good reason, like trying to stay alive. I guess I’d kill to keep myself or anyone I loved alive if it came down to it. And I’d die to keep people safe. Especially if someone was trying to manipulate me and my powers to hurt others.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why? Knowingly inspire someone to hurt someone else. I understand I can’t do much about it if someone gets a random hit of inspiration, but I try to limit that and direct the flow to people I know will use it kindly. I don’t want my powers to become tools for torturing or killing others. Bad enough they screwed me over once.

3. What do they dream about? [Either literal or figurative, specify please.] I’m one of those lucky people who regularly has lucid dreams. I’ve flown, swam through the ocean, danced on the moon – I like to give myself all sorts of adventures while asleep. I also often dream about performing, usually with my violin. That ties in nicely with my life goal – I’d like a job performing for others, either as a musician or an actress. So far no luck, but I’ll stick with it.

4. What’s their biggest fear? . . . Fire. I can control myself around candles, but most anything bigger. . . . I’m sorry, it’s a bit of a hard subject to talk about. Just – the absolute worst incident of my life involved a building burning down because of me.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why? Hmmm, I dunno. I like stuff, but I don’t tend to get overly attached to it. . . . I suppose this one family photo of me and my parents I’ve carted with me through a couple of moves. It’s all of us at Christmas when I was ten – I got Dad a new camera that year, and he insisted that it be the first photo he took. It’s a nice reminder of my childhood and all the happy times in it.

6. What is their fondest memory? The first few days with my powers, before I told my parents. It was just so incredible to know that I could inspire people, to make them be more, be better than they were before! To bring new creativity to the world! Of course, I later learned that this isn’t a) isn’t always a good thing, and b) creativity doesn’t necessarily mean talent. Still, it was fun while it lasted.

7. What is their worst memory? Seeing the asylum go up in flames, and knowing it was all my fault. . . . I didn’t know he was a pyromaniac! I was just so happy to get out of that room, and I had this need to spread my powers around. . . .

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound. That brief stay in the asylum, I’d have to say. I hate having to bring it up again and again in this meme, but it’s the sort of thing that sticks with you. Seeing the bad my powers could do convinced me of two things – a) that I had to be very very careful who I told, and b) that I had to be extremely careful not to let it all build up until it just exploded out of me again. I try to inspire at least one person a day these days. Preferably more, but doing at least one person should prevent my powers from building up to dangerous levels.

9. What do they believe makes a successful life? Following your dreams as best you can. Doing what makes you happy as often as possible. Letting your spirit soar! Though making sure you can put food on the table as well helps too. Just – try to make life fun. You’ll be happier that way.

10. What makes them laugh? Heh – just about anything, really. I’m easy to please in that regard. I’ll admit to a special fondness for good old-fashioned slapstick, though. I’m one of those rare girls who actually likes the Stooges. Yes, we do exist.

11. What are their religious views? I was raised Jewish -– well, sort of; Dad was Jewish, Mom was a lapsed Christian (I don’t remember which kind), so we celebrated all the Jewish holy days plus Christmas for me and her -- but I haven’t really hung on to much of it. I believe there’s a God, but I’m not sure which parts of the Bible to believe. If any of it – what if there was somebody like me around back then, just going around inspiring people, and the Bible was one of the results? (Man, that’s a weird thought.)

12. What is their greatest strength? I’d like to think my cheerfulness. I try to stay upbeat as much as I can. It’s a lot easier to think when you’re feeling happy – helps keep your head clear. Not that I can’t ever be serious – I just believe it’s better to be happy than upset. If I didn’t think that way, I bet I’d be a really depressed and angry person, and who wants that?

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it? I suppose my paranoia over having to inspire at least one person a day. If I don’t get a chance to inspire someone, I start getting twitchy and nervous and generally not fun to be around. It’s not usually a problem, but if someone were to try and lock me up, I know I’d FREAK. I just – I just really don’t want to risk what happened at the asylum happening again.

14. Who is the most important person in their life? Right now, I’d have to say Mom and Dad. I try to keep in touch with them regularly – at least one letter a month. They raised me well, and we all love each other a lot. Yes, they did commit me, but I was the one who inadvertently inspired that stupid shrink to recommend it. It was a honest mistake, and I’m very willing to forgive them. Besides, given the issues some people around here have with their parents. . .

And then a 20-question meme that tells us a bit about her personal life:

01.) Full name? Lucille Autumn Leech

02.) Best friend? Her grade-school best friend was Heather Tankerton, but they drifted apart when they went to different colleges. She really hasn’t found anyone to take up the role again yet.

03.) Sexuality? Bisexual female

04.) Favorite color? Green

05.) Relationship status? Single

06.) Ideal mate? Someone very creative, preferably a painter or musician type. She’d like someone who wouldn’t mind acting like a kid every so often, like playing the occasional game of hopscotch. And someone who can hold their own against her occasional flares of temper is a must.

07.) Turn-ons? Creative talent – primarily musical or drawing, ticklishness, tallness (a bit more for boys than girls)

08.) Last sexual experience? About two months before she moved to Chicago, she was working with some friends on an independent play they were trying to bring to Broadway. The play flopped, but Lucy and one of the girls, Cameron, got pretty close. After a few weeks of getting together on not-quite-dates, they ended up sleeping together. Unfortunately, three days later, Cameron’s actual girlfriend showed up. Both Lucy and the girlfriend (Kristine) were pretty damn upset to learn Cameron didn’t even care she’d cheated on Kris. Lucy started making plans to move shortly after, just to get away from the drama – she chose Chicago at random.

09.) Favorite food? Pizza! She especially likes the Hawaiian version with fruit, though she’ll eat just about any kind. Though she dislikes plain cheese or just cheese and pepperoni. Too uncreative for her.

10.) Crushes? She loved the Chris Reeve Superman when she was a little kid. And she had it bad for the guy who played Mozart in Amadeus, Tom Hulce. She thinks anyone who plays an instrument is kind of hot. As for girls, she thinks Jennifer Connelly is pretty damn cute.

11.) Favorite music? Lucy loves a bit of everything, but she has a real soft spot for big orchestral pieces, like some of the old movie soundtracks. She also likes stuff like Emilie Autumn.

12.) Biggest fear? Fire. Anything bigger than a candle tends to cause uncontrollable shuddering and a need to get away as fast as she can. Stems from her accidentally causing the asylum she was briefly committed in to burn down.

13.) Biggest fantasy? Being able to use her muse powers openly and freely, without any of the negative side effects, such as inspiring the wrong people the wrong way. She’d love to be responsible for some sort of second Renaissance, or maybe the invention of the flying cars everyone wants.

14.) Quirks in bed? She’s a muse. She releases random bouts of inspiration at random intervals. It’s not her who has the quirks. Though she does tend to like to be on top at least some of the time.

15.) Bad habits? She tends to fiddle with her hair when she’s bored. Twisting it around her fingers, batting at her ponytail, things like that. She also doesn’t always have a great censor between her mouth and her brain.

16.) Biggest regret? Not keeping her mouth shut about her powers when she first got them. She was just so eager to share with the world, she kind of lost her head. Right behind that is not practicing with them enough when she first got them – she feels that, if she had, she might have at least not inspired that psychiatrist to commit her.

17.) Best kept secrets? Her muse powers from the mundane world – after that fiasco with her parents and the asylum, she’s learned discretion is the better part of valor. She’s pretty open otherwise, though.

18.) Last thought? Would probably be, “Well, shouldn’t have inspired that asshole. . . .”

19.) Worst sexual/romantic experience? Lucy was homeless for a few days after the asylum fire – she cut and ran while the doctors and nurses were distracted and hid out on the streets. She managed to get along okay until a homeless guy decided to try and cop a feel while she was dumpster diving. She managed to fight him off by kicking him in the nuts, but it was that experience that led her to decide it was time to go back home and make up with her parents.

20.) Biggest insecurity? That she’s not doing enough with her muse powers, or inspiring the right people. She wants to help others find their creative voice, and she worries her powers aren’t actually doing that – instead making people throw out random crap just because it seemed like a good idea at the time.
